Happy Halloweek, my ghouls!

October seemed especially slippery this year… I’m still curating the spooky decor, just starting to revel in the magic and suddenly, Halloween is just days away. That's the real horror! There are 5 Saturdays this month, yet it felt like three weeks and this thinning veil started as chiffon. (Time flies when you're specifically excited for one month, I guess). Anywho, hope you are all ready for some tricky delights and antics to come. Now on with the updates.

In Art News

Last week, I was part of a little art show called Love of the Game celebrating women in Portland sports (sponsored by our Portland Thorns and Fire)! If you haven’t lived here, you might not know Portlandia is a local icon(statue), not just a show (in case the trident seems like a weird touch). So that was a thing. I forgot to take real pictures.

In Other Art News

I’ve been enjoying my break from social media, though it makes connecting to people, obviously, rather difficult. I did share some of these things, but it feels like every time I want to post, there are more developments with M3ta (ai scraping bs that I won’t get into), which makes it frustrating to go back. TLDR it has been a huge bummer for the art community. However, since the algo punishes all who do not make daily sacrifices, here are some things that are probably new to you!

It's officially Halloween and this month's Patreon was stocked with spooky delights.

And sometimes I still make things for no reason. (The result of conversations with my husband.)

Had to add him in a casual addition to my Awkward Art History series: the Jimothy treatment on La Chat Blanc - Pierre Bonnard. It’s kind of a WIP, but I have no idea why I’m even making it, so sharing before I abandon him to the creative void.
