Well, this one came out of nowhere...kind of the organic, subconscious vomit that happens sometimes. Plus it seemed fitting for Spring. It started as a doodle when my brain needed a break (while still placating the urge to always be "productive" which happens sometimes to freelancers/self-employed/vocational oddities). Persephone has come up a lot in my personal work lately (which I will show eventually). I keep returning to her duality, an exploration of the shadow self * as well as coming of age. Coming of self? It's funny how we attribute growth to adolescence, but we never really stop. There is so much of our heads to grow into. But hey, I'm not a scholar. I just draw shit that wants to come out.
